Another beautiful spot in the Adirondacks
This cache brings you to a small point on the Ausable where you can sit and enjoy the surroundings or enjoy some great fishing.
This area is a favorite spot of ous and a great place to spend the day with the family as we are lucky enough to be in this area for work and recreation and recreation often. As you walk down the trail you may notice people enjoying the water or even jumping off the nearby cliffs. Although this is fun please be aware that the river is strong and there are many rocks so you need to be careful and be very aware of your surroundings. If there are locals around ask them about the conditions and what is safe and not safe to do - they will know better than anyone else. If it has rained heavily recently the water will be beautiful to watch but the water may be too strong to enjoy.
Please follow the trail - it has been redone recently and should be used to minimize disturbance to the area and to be safe. If you aren't walking down steps as you start the trail, you aren't on the trail.
Bring a book, a pole or a picnic lunch and enjoy the day.
