Geocache Description:

Camoed jar in a tree.

Eganville is a fascinating town and so beautifully located on the Bonnechere River. Lumber Baron John Egan purchased the land in 1837 and built a lumber depot, timber chutes, and a local lumber supply store. To this day, there are many sawmills in the area. This is the third of my caches along the water. The cache, along the Grist Mill Road, obtained it’s name when Eganville was still a village and the grist mills processed flour and feed for the surrounding region. Egan built his grist mill on the South shore in 1849.

You will be able to park right by the river and the cache (in non snowy months) and enjoy the sounds of the river rushing by.

Cache container is a camoed mayo jar. Should not be hard to find. This is the third of my caches along the river, I hope you have enjoyed them all.

Congratulations to Thecachebusters on the FTF
