Cache situated near the top of the footpath leading down to Beacon Cove. The footpath leaves the coastal footpath on the north edge of the cove. Cache is located approx 35m down the path.
The final 25m are on grass footpath which is steep and will become very slippery when wet, extreme caution is needed with young children and pets. The cache can be approached on the coastal footpath from Mawgan Porth to the north and Watergate Bay to the south and there is an inland footpath route from Trevarrian. (OS Map 106) Parking is available at all locations. Beacon Cove can be reached at low tide by continuing down the path but be warned, the final, lower section involves clinging on to a rope system attached to the cliff face! If you arrive in the early evening you will almost certainly see, on the sheer faced southern cliff of the cove, hundreds of nesting sea birds. This cache has been placed with the kind permission of the National Trust.
CONGRATULATIONS to MAD MAX the VICKER of MAWGAN on FTF!
