Geocache Description:

Home View

You are seeking a small camo bison tube. Actually, a hereford tube would be a more appropriate name!!

The signal is bouncy here so get close and use your geosense.

This is Part 1 of my Biography Series. My family moved to Jericho Road when I was 3 months old. My dad rebuilt the entire house where my family still lives, so all that remains of the original 300+ year old structure is the hand-hewn timber frame. It was originally a stop on a stagecoach route and some of that road is still in evidence going up the hill to the west. We used to play in the old wheelwright/blacksmith shop and I remember digging potatoes one fall and finding 2 spuds that had grown into old harness buckles! Growing up here was Heaven in a much simpler time. The road was unpaved, 4-wheel drive was a necessity and only a handful of families lived here. We could identify every neighbor driving up the valley or know when strangers were around by the sound of their engines. Now, 50 years later, it is still the most beautiful place in the Upper Valley and I love coming "home" to visit.

Home View: As children, we spent may hours here, damming up the brook to make wading pools in summer, and skating pools in winter. We had bike rodeos and races. We built camps on the hillside with "fire rings" and teepees. We hung tin peanut butter cans over the fire and made pine-needle soup. Way out in the boonies, but in View of Home and hearing range of the car horn calling us to dinner.
