Geocache Description:

The source of the Wharemauku Stream is in the Maungakotukutuku valley, from where it flows westwards through the Paraparaumu and Raumati Beach areas, before reaching the Tasman Sea on the northern side of Raumati Marine Gardens The stream once meandered through coastal swamp forests and wetlands dominated by kahikatea, swamp maire, pukatea and harakeke (swamp flax) into a constantly changing lagoon-estuary at its outlet to the Tasman sea. But unlike its journey to the sea a century ago, this little stream must now traverse substantial man-made terrain and infrastructure in order to make its way to the sea: it passes through Kapiti Golf Course, through the Kaitawa Reserve, here where a bridge crosses it, then under the North Island Main Trunk Railway, State Highway 1, Coastlands Shopping Centre and then on towards the coast where fortunately a walkway has been developed alongside it.

This is a park and grab sort of cache.
This was a magnetic camouflaged eclipse tin that was retrieved by reaching through the SW railing probably best disguised by tying your shoelace. Now a green screw top container on the NE part of the bridge railing.(see hint)

When replacing be careful not to drop it in the stream or down a hole.
Please ensure cache is returned so that it isn’t visible to passers by.
