Geocache Description:

Just your typical 35-mm-style hide with a fancy name and a literary-inspired theme. Not a Light Post Cache, but rather a LITERARY PROMOTION CACHE. Thought the area could use a few more caches to help boost your numbers and offer a little high-brow caching while you drive around the vineyards and tasting room's of Yamhill County.

Very busy road. Limited pull off parking across from cache (don't block driveways!) Title's actually pretty appropriate, as I couldn't get the cache in the obvious spot. Natural camo (just out of place - why'd *that* be there?)

LPC2: WILLIAM FAULKNER. Contemporary of Hemingway, southern gentleman, hard drinker, and vastly more wordy than "papa."

I can still remember my prim and proper English teacher telling me how there are many rules of grammar, but once you know them, you can apparently break them. Faulkner wrote the most engaging and intensely long sentences I'd ever experienced.

As I Lay Dying's exploration of the fragility and uncertainty of life from four different perspectives still blows my mind. Okay the premise is a little intense -- packing up your mother's body in a coffin and traveling for days by horse and cart to a proper burial site, but we live differently today.
