Just another typical 35-mm-style hide with a fancy name and a literary-inspired theme. Not a Light Post Cache, but rather a LITERARY PROMOTION CACHE. Between Craftybritgal and myself, we'll help boost your numbers and offer a little high-brow caching while you drive around the vineyards and tasting room's of Yamhill County.

Saul Bellow is one of our greatest American writers of the last 60 years. Discovered Bellow in an Existential Lit class at the University of Oregon. Most people may know him for his novel Seize the Day (also very existential), but the Adventures of Augie March and Henderson the Rain King remain my favorites. Eugene Henderson was rich, successful, but something within him screamed "I want! I want!" Henderson travels to Africa seeking something, anything that will satisfy that internal, troubled voice. Who knows if he truly finds his spiritual salvation, but the novel ends happily and hopeful enough. It's a fun novel, but also philosophical. I was out finding a nearby cure for ills cache when I ran across this spot and couldn't resist. Questions of life and death and meaning, obviously, fit with the setting of this cache.
