Geocache Description:

Welcome to Bonny Lake State Park’s newest activity, Geocaching. There are 5 caches hidden throughout the park. Each cache has been located at a site that has some historical importance to when and how the dam was built. As you are looking for the caches at these sites we hope you will take a few minutes and observe these different areas.

This site is only assessable during the summer when the park is open. It will require a hike about ¼ mile along a mowed trail. As always, be aware and cautious of snakes while hiking on the short grass prairie.

Dirt was used to fill in the area from hill to hill. This area was called the barrow area.
