Geocache Description:

The Commons Link 1 and 2 are additional caches that can be collected while doing The Commons (two small linked circuits of 10 caches) around Kington Langley.

The village of Kington Langley is about 1.5 miles long from one end to the other and stands on a small hill near Chippenham. It has three Commons: Upper, Middle and Lower Common.

One famous local resident was Norris Dewar McWhirter who, with his identical twin brother Ross, was editor of the Guinness Book of Records and appeared on the BBC children’s television show “Record Breakers” from the 1970s to early 1990s. Norris died in April 2004 aged 78, following a tennis match at his home in Kington Langley.

The Hit or Miss Inn is conveniently placed in the heart of the village (for those needing refreshment) and can claim David Cameron as a client before he became Prime Minister.

A well as 3 Commons, the village also has a village green and a pond. No prizes for guessing which landmark this cache is near.

Please note that this cache is NOT hidden in the wall.
