Hillworth Park is situated on the south side of Devizes and was bought by the borough council in 1945.
At the moment it contains open grass areas with flower borders, Tennis Court, Play Equipment, Multi Use Game Area, Under 6's play Area, Bike Park, Fitness Area, Reflective Pool, Park Centre, Garden Pavilion, A Queen Anne summer house, Aviary and Toilets. There is also a small car park accessed from Queens Road.
This park is often thought to be a ‘hidden gem’ within Devizes.
Devizes Town Council has been successful in its £1.2m bid for funding from the Heritage and Big Lottery Funds 'Parks for People' programme and the much needed facelift has now been completed bringing this lovely park back to life once more.
This park is about a 0.5 mile walk from Devizes market place.
You are looking for a magnetic nano cache with a log-roll so bring your own pencil. Please put back carefully and hide as well as possible.
Stealth WILL be required while accessing this cache.
There is wheelchair access through the park but as this cache is placed a little way off the main path so help may be needed to retrieve it.
A limited amount of free parking is available within the park at N 51° 20.799 W 1° 59.679 and there may also be some roadside parking available in Queens Road at N 51° 20.803 W 001° 59.648.
