Weely Good Traditional Cache
smcshaw: I was told the local young lads had found it a week ago though had put it back safe and sound. I'm really not surprised a couple of weeks on it's been trashed. I've removed it, shame.

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The cache is situated on common land with parking nearby (please be considerate of local residents when parking). Stealth may be required as there are often children playing nearby. This can be found as a cache-and-dash, and the terrain is easy though may become muddy in winter months.
Weel is a hamlet lying to the east of Beverley and consisting of around 40 houses and farms. One of the “water villages” of Beverley it at one time boasted its own pub, chapel and school, but is now served by the nearby village of Tickton.
The cache is placed across the road from Weel Common, an expanse of grass, trees and bushes in which local children live out a Just-Williamesque existence. A path flanked by a beautiful blackthorn hedge leads from the back of the Common towards a privately owned paddock.
The village itself is worth walking round, which takes little more than 5 minutes, and there are attractive walks along the River Hull and across the fields to Tickton.
The container is a small sandwich box with room for a few swaps. Contents when placed included:
- pretty pink logbook and pen
- a travel bug
- an "I am 2" balloon
This is our first ever cache placement; enjoy!
