Geocache Description:

Easier cache to walk to rather than drive. This is close to one of the entrances of the OCA (Old Croton Aqueduct). If you'd like to find all OCA caches, park at CVS (350 S Bdway, Tarrytown) walk north (either on Route 9 to Transfiguration School/Church, thru the school parking lot) or up the OCA path hidden along the east side of CVS parking lot (you'll have to climb up a dirt pathway to reach the OCA from the CVS parking lot.) Either way, head north for this cache and several others.

This is a magnetic hide-a-key box {UPDATE: Box seems to have gone missing, but plastic bag is still there. Hoping to find a new box soon.} There is a log but bring your own pen. It can hold a very thin/small item (like a coin) and maybe a Travel Bug if it's not on a key ring. This aqueduct system used to bring water by the force of gravity alone 41 miles (66 km) from the Croton River in Westchester County into reservoirs in Manhattan, where local water resources had become polluted and inadequate for the growing population of the city. Now it's a gorgeous way to walk North and South in lower westchester. Take a little stroll after you get your hands on our little find. There are more caches to find along the OCA (Old Croton Aqueduct).
