The Minster Way is a splendid 50-mile walking route between the beautiful Minsters of Beverley and York.
This cache is part of a series of caches we have placed at the York end of the Walk.
Access to this cache can be made from Fulford (on street parking) but can also be accessed from Heslington where there are several other caches to be found, either via path next to Golf Course or from the outgang where parking is available at N 53 56 462 W 001 02 679.
From either direction access to this cache is via fairly well maintained dirt paths which cross fields so pushchairs access might be difficult. Likely to get muddy after heavy rain.
Note: if coming from the Hidden with Stile Cache keep to the Golf course side of the Hedge. The track across the farmer field looks like it will take you where you want to go, but it doesn't.
Heslington Tilmire is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It is an important area for ground nesting birds such as Redshank, Lapwing and Snipe. Dogs should be kept on a leash and keep to the signed footpaths.
This cache can be accessed without going onto the Tilmire itself.
