Eisenhower Power! Traditional Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

Marko Ramius: I was reviewing caches in the area that appear to need maintenance or have been temporarily disabled for an extended period of time. I see that this one hasn't had a status update from the owner in the past few months. Obviously, we give extra time when a cache must be disabled for reasons beyond the owner's control, but it does help to have periodic updates.

Please post a note to the cache page to let us all know the status: Any plans to replace (now or in the future)? A report that the area is not yet ready for a cache placement? A simple note on the cache page just to let us know that you haven't forgotten about the cache?

Please respond on this cache page within the next 30 days. If we do not hear from you, we may conclude that the cache has been abandoned and the cache may be archived. Please be aware that caches that are archived due to a lack of communication or maintenance may not be unarchived.
Please note that we now place greater emphasis on "refreshing the gameboard" which means that our SoCal volunteer Reviewers will be more aggressively freeing up space for new caches to replace old ones that are not being properly maintained. In this vein, a response on the cache page from the cache owner is required to avoid archival.

Thank you for your understanding.

Geocache Description:

This cache isn't meant to be difficult and may be easy to find for experienced cachers. The hardest part will be not getting muggled.

The very first cache that I ever found is called "Albertson's Energy" (GCRNAR) and is close to my home. This is a tribute to that first cache and its owners, Possum Belly & Tuna Belly. Unfortunately there are lots of muggles around, including what seems to be an inordinate amount of City of Orange workers. Lunch may be a difficult time to grab this cache as people sit in the nearby parking lot and watch other people. When grabbing the cache, I suggest you turn around first and watch for muggles as you make the grab. NOTE: IF YOU GET MUGGLED, OR THINK YOU ARE BEING WATCHED, PLEASE DO NOT REPLACE THE CONTAINER. PLACE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE SIMILARLY AND SHOOT ME AN EMAIL RIGHT AWAY WITH THE COORDS OF WHERE YOU DROPPED IT AND I WILL PUT IT BACK FOR YOU. I DON'T WANT THIS CONTAINER TO GET MUGGLED. THANKS. The container is small, no room for swag. Please bring your own pen and please replace the cache "straight" so the camo works. ------------------------------------------------ There is FREE, CLOSE PARKING at both the North and South ends of the park and this cache is nearer the South lot and the lake. This is a great park to have lunch at or just take a break from the hustle and bustle. Eisenhower Park was acquired in 1969. It is 16.46 acres of beautiful green space with shaded trees and streams. This park features barbeques, a two structured tot-lot suitable for children ages 5-12 years old, reservable green space for birthday parties, family reunions, company and family picnics, non-reservable picnic tables, and a lake for fishing. There is also passive and open areas for exercising and walking. Enjoy! CONGRATULATIONS TO RED RYDER ON ANOTHER FTF!
