Cache #9 on Mr. Science’s Cache Trail
You are looking for a small water proof match container, log only. Please place cache back exactly as found.
To get back you your car, continue following the trail until you see the orange blazes marking the trail back to the parking area.
Otsego County was once covered with dairy farms. Pastures, barns, silos, fields of corn, and tractors everywhere you went. You can still view many of the abandoned farms as you drive the local roads. With every generation there are fewer and fewer small family run dairy farms left. This cache is hidden on land that was once Pa Jackson’s farm. I used to visit there as a boy and would help with the milking and haying. Farming is hard, hard work, with no days off, and not enough money to make a living. Pa’s children had no interest in continuing and the farm died with him. As you approach, you will find the last remnant of his livelihood.
