[SK] Na tomto mieste prebieha vyzrazanie sladkovodnych vapencov v travertin.
[EN] At this point, change the freshwater limestone in travertine.




[SK] Prirodna pamiatka Benatinsky travertin je najvychodnejsie polozeny travertinovy odkryv na Slovensku. Tento odkryv predstavuje recentnu tvorbu travertinu vyzrazanim hydrouhlicitanu vapenateho a formuje kaskadove kopy. Dazdova voda obohatena oxidom uhlicitym prenika pod povrch priepustnymi horninami. Pri prenikani cez ne ich voda rozpusta a prijima dalsi rozpusteny vapnik. Potom voda pomocou tlaku CO2 stupa na povrch. Na tvorbe travertinu sa podielaju rastliny, ( flora ) ktore z vody odoberaju CO2 ( oxid uhlika ) cim je urychlene vyzrazavanie CaCO3 ( uhlicitan vapenaty ) v okoli mineralnych alebo termalnych pramenov. Tieto travertiny obsahuju zvysky malakofauny a jeho tvorba prebieha aj dnes. Prirodna pamiatka je na ploche 0,24ha a bola vyhlasena v roku 1989. Sladkovodne vapence – travertiny su situovane v chemogenno-organogennych sedimentoch. Okolity geologicky utvar sa nazyva Kvarter co inymi slovami znamena stvrtohory.

[EN] In Benatina is located on presented geographic coordinates a uncovered travertine (easternmost in Slovakia). Recently is the creation of travertine precipitation carbonate hydrate calcium and shapes cascading kicks, which contains fossil remains of mollusc fauna. Rain water enriched with carbon dioxide penetrates beneath the surface of porous rocks. Penetrate through them the dissolves and take another dissolved calcium. Then, using pressure of CO2 rises to the surface. In the vicinity of mineral or thermal springs. Plants which promotes the formation. Travertine also created at this time. The acreageis 0,24 hectars and for natural monument was declared in 1989. Are located in chemogenic organogenic-sediment. The surrounding geological formation called quaternary.
