Cache is a fairly easy find. Follow the Oneonta trail, located on Larch Mt. road, just below the main parking area. You can pull off the side of the road and park. The container has plenty of room for goodies.
I saw this cache container at a thrift store, and thought it would be perfect for geocaching. Because of it's size, I wanted to put it somewhere off the beaten path. I rated this cache a 2 for both terrain, and difficulty. You have to do some semi bushwacking, but not too bad. Please place cache as you found it, to keep it well hidden from muggles. The skeeters were bad when I placed it, so beware. There is a lot of snow here in the winter months, and it may not be accessible until late spring, or even early summer.
I hope you take the short hike up to the Larch Mountain view point, and enjoy the views of five awesome mountains- St.Helens, Rainier, Adams, Hood, and Jefferson. Plus an incredible view looking west, at the Columbia river, especially at sunset.
