pm28570: @MainePublisher, thank you for your patience. Indeed, the cache is no longer there. In addition, the landscape has changed with overgrowth and blowdowns. The tote road is now a snowmobile trail, adding difficulty to access. So, Dead River Campers Cache has had it’s run.

Geocache Description:

Nothing beats an ammo can in the woods!

This is placed along the Dead River in a spot I came across in
August. Depending on the season and the river level, spend some
time exploring around and enjoy the location.

Depending on the time of year and road conditions, you most likely
can drive to within 30 feet or so of the cache. Other times, plan
on hiking in from Route 16. You can access the road from the
coordinates below.

The cache contents starting out are mostly for campers, it would be nice if the theme of the cache can remain for campers.
