This series is a tribute to the bands that I love, and this one gives tribute to the band call Neva Dinova. Neva Dinova is of course another indie band from Omaha, Nebraska that is on the Saddle Creek label. The band, Neva Dinova, came from the lead singer Jake Bellows grandmother. Although the band didn’t originally release their albums with Saddle Creek, all their albums have been re-issued. The band is made up of lead vocals and guitarist Jake Bellows who is joined by Heath Koontz (keyboards/bass), Mike Kratky (vocals/guitar), Time Haes (guitar), and Roger Lewis (drums). The band was originally with Crank! Records and released their self title album “Neva Dinova” (2002) and “The Hate Yourself Change” (2005). In 2004, Neva Dinova and Bright Eyes did a split album, “One Jug of Wine, Two Vessels” that was released on Crank! But Connor Oberst of Bright Eyes convinced Neva Dinova to joined Saddle Creek, which they did and on April 8, 2008 they released their 3 album “you May Already Be Dreaming” Since then Saddle Creek has re-issued “One Jug of Wine, Two Vessels” with extra tracks, and re-issued their previous albums. The lead singer (Jake Bellows) has done work with Connor Oberst, with the latest being on the album Cassadaga. The drummer Roger Lewis also has been working with another Saddle Creek band called The Good Life. The band has released 3 EP’s and 3 LP’s since their short
This cache is a very common park and grab, but the container is not a micro, you will know what I mean when you arrive on ground zero. The traffic is very heavy in this area, so be aware of muggles, and parking will be virtually right by the cache. The road that you will pull onto is a dead end road, but you don’t have to drive to the end, so it is no RoF more like a col-de-sac. FTF winner will get their FTF medal but also awaiting them some music by Neva Dinova that they recorded for a Daytrotter Session. Daytrotter is an online promotion website for indie bands that allow you to download their music that they performed in their studio for free. ***FTF Honors goes to SterlingConnie***
