This cache takes you near the area of the old D4C Ranch, owned by old cowboy film star Hoot Gibson.
Everyone knows about how Las Vegas is the capital of quickie marriages.... Small wedding chapels dot the Strip from north to south and are in every hotel.
Another selling point to bring in out of towners decades ago was the fact that Nevada has the loosest laws about quickie DIVORCES too! The only catch was, you had to be a resident...... For at least six weeks anyway.
There were about three "ranches" that folks would stay at (likely in different cabins) while they waited out their six weeks to be able to nix their vows. There was the original strip resort El Rancho Vegas at Las Vegas Blvd and Sahara, the Boulderado Dude Ranch near current day Carey Ave and Losee Rd. just west of I-15 in North LV, and the D4C Ranch. (Say D4C a few times fast in your head if you dont get it)
Parking might not be as close as some cachers might like, but like the residents of the D4C said, Youve got your walking papers. (Treasure Island is your best bet, with free parking in their garage.)
Bring your own pen, and replace as/where found. Co-ords might jump a bit as you reach GZ, but shouldnt be too bad. Like anywhere away from the Strip, the buddy system is best after dark- Geocaching or not.
