Geocache Description:

Located in Washington Park, this cache provides exposure to the beautiful park area and nearby flower bog.

The idea behind this cache is to leave small rectangular mementos of your travel. Ideally in the form of tickets – plane flight stubs, subway cards, baseball game tickets, entry stubs to parks/monuments etc. Let people know where all the visitors to the cache have been. So be sure to bring something of the like along with you, and place it in the ziplock bag along with the rest.

The park has an enormous grassy, smooth hill that provides Cville's best sledding in the winter. I went to UVA, and would always come down here immediately after a snow. There is plenty of public parking located just to the north, and to the south up the hill is the Washington Park public swimming pool. Be sure to walk just east and check out the flower bog. It's quite pretty, and is a real secret; most cvillians live here for decades and never know it exists. Read up on a little history here, if you're a nerd: (visit link)

The cache itself is a medium sized tupperware container. The GPS should be enough to find it, it's not that far into the woods, but read the hint if you must. There are a) mosquitoes here in the summer and b) a real park with real muggles around you, so use medium stealth mode and bug spray. FTF wins a choice of a military glo stick, teeny beer mug, or free invisible hug. Happy hunting.
