This is a good place to launch a kayak in the Saco River.
There is a nice sandy beach here. The commercial outfitters put their clients in on the other side of the bridge, but I prefer this side. It can get very busy here in the summer time, but you won't have to deal with the hordes of people launching canoes, kayaks, inner tubes and all sorts of other inflatables on the other side of the bridge. You will be looking for a camoed bison tube. There is some poison ivy in the area.
