Geocache Description:

A cache at the top of the 4 Peaks Road, near the Lone Pine Trail head

The most challenging part of this cache is getting to the trail head. Lone Pine Trail head is at the top of the Four Peaks road, which travels from route 87 up and over Lone Pine Saddle (to the North West of the Four Peaks) and down to Lake Roosevelt and route 188. 4 Wheel Drive or High clearance 2 WD is needed to get all the way to the top (I suppose you could do it in the family sedan, but I wouldn’t do it in MY sedan). Parts of the road, especially the final approach up to the Four Peaks, are pretty rocky. The back side road (that leads to/from route 188) might be better, but I haven’t driven it in a year or two.

Once you’re at the trail head, finding the cache should be pretty straight forward. It’s off the trail, though.

The cache contains a disposable camera, amongst other things. Take a picture when you sign the log book, and I'll get the film developed when it's used up (assuming it survives the cold). If you visit the cache and notice the camera is near the end of its life, please email Team Daas.
