Geocache Description:

This is #4 of ten Howell Campground GeoCaching Primer (HCGCP) caches placed for Lake Red Rock's Big Geocaching Event, September 18, 2010.

OK, this is a lesson of another kind. Honeysuckle is a bush that was imported as an ornamental plant. Its blossoms are beautiful and fragrant, but the dense foliage (leaves) and its prolific growth choke out native plants. Honeysuckle has become a big problem across the country; just this summer Red Rock had a bunch removed to try to restore some native timber areas.

So take a good look at the enemy! Do you notice the striated bark (kind of striped)? This is very typical of honeysuckle bark.
