EAST WANGARATTA BAPTIST BURIAL GROUND
The first burial took place in this little cemetery in 1875. Unfortunately this burial
place is now in ruins. Over the past century, tree suckers grew up among
the graves, gradually breaking down the wrought iron fencing, leaving
the head-stones to the mercy of the wandering stock. Apparently, the
outer protecting fence had previously been destroyed by fire. Only two
head-stones remain on the site, and even these are overturned.
The last burial in this cemetery took place on 25th April 1903. Research
reveals that there were 14 burials in this little cemetery.
THE CACHE:- Is micro in size,so please as always please bring your own pen.It is advised to bring some kind of multi tool as it would make retreiving the cache alot easier.
