Update: 11/27/2010: Hello everyone. The event is very close now, and I have hid a couple caches to be published the day of the event. If anyone else would like to hide a cache or 2 for the event, just let me know. Also if you are interested in participating in the secret santa, just let me know. To participate, just wrap a gift, and bring it along with you. when you sign the log sheet, you will give me the gift, and I will give you a secret santa ticket, that you will use after the event to pick up a different gift. Also, we are really encouraging all of the new cachers, that havent been to events before to come and stop by. There is no better way to get to meet all the local cachers in one place! See you all next week. Update: 11/8/2010 We are getting some good donations for the raffle, but we can def. still use some more. If anyone is able to help in any way, just get in touch with me. As far as SECRET SANTA goes, please message me and let me know if you are interested in participating. So far, I have heard some interest, but nobody has let me know for sure. Last year, we had a good turnout for it, so lets out do ourselves this year. All you will have to do is get a gift for the exchange. Don't go nuts and spend a ton of money. Keep it simple. we all have geocaching in common, so maybe a caching related gift. But it is up to you. We will take all the gifts people bring, and put them on a seperate table. after the event is over, we will hand out gifts for the exchange to those of you who participated. We had such a great turn out last year that we couldn't pass up the chance to hold another event, for the holidays. So naturally, this year we are holding" A cache-mas party, Year 2!!

WHEN
YOU GET TO THE LOCATION, PLEASE USE THE SIDE DOOR, THAT IS FACING
THE OLD TURKEY HILL! THANK YOU. The bar/restaurant will be
shut down for our private use...of course it is open to anyone
interested in geocaching. We will have the place to ourselves from
12:00p.m.-3:00p.m. There will be a bartender on hand at the bar for
those of you who would like to purchase drinks. If
you would like to bring your favorite holiday treat, you are
welcome to do so. Just list what you would like to bring. The bar
will open to the public at 3:00p.m. you are welcome to stick around
for drinks at the bar, but the event will finish up for 3:00, so we
don't interfere with the normal business hours of the
bar/restaurant.

This time of the year, is a busy, busy time. Why not take a
couple hours out of one day, to sit back and relax with some
friends.This is your chance to get together with people that you
may only know their names in a log book. A very informal gathering
of people who have geocaching in common. Getting together to get
away from the craziness of the holidays. Discuss all the caches you
went and found throughout the year....or didn't find. ;) Make some
new friends, and hang out with old friends. New cachers are welcome
and encouraged to join us. This is a slow caching time of the year
for some, so take this opportunity to get another cache under your
belt. We will be having a raffle also,(if anyone would like to
donate some items for the raffle, we would appreciate it)

If you plan to attend

Please say in your will attend log, how many people will be coming
with you. (I need a rough idea of how many will attend) and if you
would like to bring a small holiday treat to set out on the treat
table, for all to enjoy, just let us know what it will be, and we
will post it.

12-1 arrival/sign

1-2 meet/chat about
geocaching. Snack on holiday treats

2:00 start the raffle and
giveaways.

3:00 group photo. Then the
people who participated in secret santa will receive their gifts.
Then we will all part our ways, and maybe go out and get some
geocaches!!

I will have a dontation container set up, if anyone would like to
donate to help out with the costs of the event.

SECRET SANTA: If
you would like to participate in the Secret Santa gift exchange for
this event, just make sure you bring your wrapped gift to the
event, and like last year, after the raffle is over, anyone that brought a gift for the secret santa will come up to the table, and grab a gift!.
