Condie where are U? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

onecrazycanadian: Hi,

I'm archiving this listing since it's been at least 2 weeks since I last contacted you and there has been no response. If you correct the problem I indicated at some time in the near future I will take another look at it and may consider unarchiving the cache.

Thanks

Geocache Description:

Green plastic bean paste box with a yellow lid.

Well, there is a service road on the north side of the old Qu'Appelle, Long Lake and Saskatchewan Railway and Steamship Company line that Osler, Hammond and Nanton laid down in 1883. The place eventually collected a couple of elevators and in 1911 the Canadian Northern, which had bought the line in December of 1906, erected a tiny "3rd Class" station. Canadian National, which the Unionist federal government of Rob't Borden had formed on June 6, 1919, by the amalgamating the nationalized (Aug. 1, 1917) Canadian Northern with the Canadian Government Railways, sold the station in 1959 and saw it removed from railway property. It may be still in the neighbourhood.
So, where were we. Oh yeah: Condie side road. There is what appears to be a former elevator agent's dwelling on the northern side of the side road, and westerly from that is a small collection of recently-retired rides (I'm talking 10 or 15 years in the weeds, I'd guess) and machinery, and a rickety old garage. If I were U and looking for Skyleo's Condie cache, I'd pay attention to the old cars, but I'd keep in mind that Skyleo wouldn't make U crawl thru the jagged metal and shards of glass ro access his cache. No, it's pretty accessible - unless someone has slammed the lid.
