Geocache Description:

This is cache is based on the numerous leisure activities available in and around Milton Keynes.

Number 5 - TENNIS

Tennis is a game played between two players (singles) or between two teams of two players (doubles). The game is said to have originated in France in the 1100's, using the palm of the hand to strike the ball. It was during the 1500's that the raquet was first used. The game was played, exclusively, indoors. The ball could be bounced off the walls; this version is now know as real tennis. King Henry VIII was a great fan.

Today tennis can be played on lawns (mine's too small), clay, concrete, and artificial grass. There are competitions around the world and at Wimbledon where the wombles are.

The cache is a magnetic nano so you will have to bring your own pen / pencil / crayon; don't leave home without one.

Although the cache is wheelchair accessible you may have to stretch a bit to reach the cache.
