This cache has been archived.

Royal Oak: As the owner has not responded to my previous log requesting that they check this cache I am archiving it. It is not normal to unarchive a cache, which has been archived due to a lack of maintenance.

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Geocache Description:

This cache has been hidden to celebrate 10 Years of Geocaching. To celebrate, special 10 Year Event Caches have been placed all over the world. All of these special 10 Year Events are celebrating the switching off of “Selective Availability” on 2nd May 2000, which means your GPS had an accuracy of 100m at best! Dave Ulmer placed the first ever Geocache and the next day, Geocaching had been born. The rest is history! The 10 Year event held nearest to here was on the 2nd May 2010 at the Cheshire Cat.

This 10 cache is hidden along a public footpath running from Daleside, Upton to A5116 Liverpool Road, Moston. I would personally recommend starting at Daleside if approaching with a car as on the A5116, there are terrible parking areas (side of road). The cache is a 35 mm canister hidden rather tightly so a very useful implement would be helpful. If not, when you get to GZ, you will have to hope that there are some small but strong sticks so some Chinese chopsticks can be made for use.
