Geocache Description:

An easy walk up cache. Watch out for grown (and little) muggles in this public park. (cache adopted 2014/07/01)

This nano-cache is located where the majestic St. John’s Church once stood. Bring a pen. In historic and oft-overlooked East Cambridge, St. John’s Church was built in 1842 and served as the first Roman Catholic church in Cambridge. The stone building had a crenelated tower, and was erected as a result of the large influx of Roman Catholic laborers to the numerous industries located in East Cambridge. The church eventually became a school and then was demolished in the 1930s. Take a look at the attached picture for a glimpse of the church's former majesty.
