One of my favorite movie quotes is from Denzel Washington playing Detective John Hobbs in the movie Fallen: "You take any cop on the force, cream or no cream ninety nine percent of the time they're doing their job, aren't they?" "So he or she, cream or no cream, is doing more good out there every day than any lawyer or stock broker or president of the United States can do in their lifetime." "COPS ARE THE CHOSEN PEOPLE."
The officers listed on the memorial at this cache location all gave their lives while serving their community. Some that died performed heroic duties such as Deputy Benjamin Davidson who was killed trying to prevent 4 prisoners from escaping. Although he was mortally wounded he was able to control one subject and died on top of him preventing his escape.....that is heroic ladies and gentleman. This website has information on how all the honored hereos gave their lives in an attempt to make the world a better place for others.
Cahce is easily accessible in a public parking area of the LEC. Please do not park in employee parking as there is plenty of visitor parking available and in close proximity to the cache. This should be an easy Park and Grab. You should have plenty of time left to honor the fallen officers.
