Of all the covered bridges in West Virginia, the Mud River Bridge in Milton may be one of the lesser-known bridges. It is one of only 17 historic covered bridges in the state, was built in 1876, and spans 108 feet across the Mud River. Other than this historic covered bridge, Milton is also home to the annual West Virginia Pumpkin Festival and the authentic WV handcrafted glass factory, Blenko Glass Company.
