Geocache Description:

This is a small camo container There are trinkets and stuff for trade. (Placed on private property with permission.) (UPDATE 20181027: Moved away from the area where it was disappearing. Still accessible - use the clues - see new coords.)

Over the years, many have known the term "WC" or "water-closet" or more commonly, "the bathroom". Many a story has been written in reference to this term as well. One such story can be found here: (visit link) .

The tiny structure (also called a "WC") located adjacent to this cache has had a bit of history and would be worth a visit even without there being something hidden nearby to find. The following bit of history includes excerpts from an article written by Timothy Newcomb from the Lynden Tribune a few years ago when this building was relocated to it's current location. (portions removed to not totally give away its home without the coordinates)

===============================================
It is almost as versatile as other five-seaters on the road today. Or at least that is what (“WC”) creator Jake Bovenkamp must be thinking after moving his creation for a second time in 45 years -- this time to a permanent location. The (“WC”), a Lynden landmark since 1960, was moved (recently) from Bovenkamp's home on the East Badger Road to a permanent location ...

Bovenkamp, who volunteered his time to create the 8-by-18-foot structure in 1960, said he couldn't be happier. What at one time was a (“WC”) 24 hours from destruction is now getting all the care and treatment (its current hosts) can offer. The (“WC”) was forced out of its original location at the corner of Badger and Guide Meridian roads by the widening and installation of a traffic signal in the mid-1990s.

...After a few other locations were ruled out, Bovenkamp was called the day before it was to be torn down by ...construction crews. "Nobody wanted it," Bovenkamp said. "(They) gave me the chance to take it back, so we took it to my place." Jake, along with his wife Gertrude, took care of the (“WC”) and left it open 24 hours a day for travelers and tourists to stop and rest, pray and pick up a Bible.

Over the years, about a dozen weddings and a funeral have taken place at the five-seat (“WC”). Bovenkamp and the guest book both give witness to the fact that visitors from all over the country, Canada and even the world have stopped to take a few moments at the (“WC”).

After Jake's wife passed away in January 2003, he knew that finding a permanent home for the (“WC”) was his new goal. His dream of moving it to (another property) on the Guide wasn't materializing, so he donated the building to (it's current owners).
...
Jake plans on keeping a sign on his farm's fence pointing travelers the way to (the new location) for the next few years. "Tourists come from all over the country to stop," he said. He wants the (“WC”) to be easily found. When it was on his property, Jake said, he would stop in many times to rest, relax and pray. In fact, he and Gert even attended a few of the weddings at the (“WC”), preparing the flowers for the front.

Upon leaving the ("WC") after a visit..., Jake did what he thought best for the (“WC”), just like he has done for 45 years -- he left the door open.

After you visit the cache site, take a look around inside the building. There is even a guest book (not a geocaching log – just a site guest book) that you are welcome to sign. If you like, press the round button on the inside of the back door frame and have a seat for a few minutes. See if you can find the SMALLEST door in the building ? (sorry nothing behind it for you…)[sorry to say that the smallest door has since disappeared but you can guess where it was...]

As always, please be respectful of the area, vegetation and people around ya’ ...and look carefully....

NO, the “WC” does NOT stand for “Water Closet” - although it IS open 24/7/365.
