This cache is placed at a spot, that if you look south towards the mouth of the river, you may be able to see the remains, of one of the old shipbuilding wharfs, this was quit a large shipbuilding river in the 1800's, there were ships over 200 tons built in this area.
My ancestors settled on the banks of this river in the late 1700's & were involved in this industry for some years.
