This
Mystery or Puzzle Cache was hidden in honor of the Mustangs.
I didn't go to Westfield High School but I was a Mustang in High
School. When I see their school mascot or the statue in front of
the school it brings back a lot of fond High School memories.
We didn't
have a softball team at my High School but having a passive love of
“all things baseball” and having recently watched some
very intense college women softball teams compete, I thought this
would be a fitting place to start a mystery or puzzle cache.
Wow those young ladies are intense!! Anyway, I digress.
Again
… Please do not go to the coordinates above as this cache is
NOT hidden in the middle of the softball diamond at Westfield High
School.
Okay, so
here's my dilemma.
I use a spreadsheet program for most of my analytical work and
use it to keep track of my Mystery or Puzzle Caches, their names,
original coordinates, and solution coordinates.
It appears that in hiding this particular cache, something
happened to my spreadsheet and the resulting lookup routines (which
include all types of caches close to my home) gave me the below
outputs. It appears to have generated a printout of the formula
itself and not the ending coordinates.
NORTH 30° ##.###
WEST 095° ##.###
The first column of the lookup table was also corrupted
(deleted) so I’m giving you what I have.
The above info is sufficient to solve the puzzle and gain the
correct last 5 digits of the needed coordinates for the cache.
Again, the cache is not hidden in the middle of the diamond at
the Lady Mustang’s Softball Field.
Cache is a small 35mm film canister with only a log sheet.
