Geocache Description:

***Note Corrected Final Coordinates below*** This cache is part of a local series of 12 hides at locations of Northwest Suburban Council Boy Scout Eagle Projects. container features a point of the Scout Law. Visit each cache, note the point with the Series #, and submit them all to receive a BSA Cache to Eagle patch.

Reaching the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America requires years of dedication and hard work. Over its first 100 years, Scouting has provided millions of hours of service to communities across America.

Ian H. of Arlington Heights Troop 159 recently completed his Eagle Project at the Arlington Heights History Museum. In August of 2010, he led the troop, leaders and parents in repairing and refinishing the gazebo. They scraped and power washed off the flaking paint, as well as repaired rotted areas with wood filler or replacement boards. They then primed and painted the gazebo. Also, along the driveway off Fremont Street, they cleared ivy, trimmed back the bushes lining the driveway, and planted Coreopsis flowers along the driveway.

As the Bibliotech cache is a block away, this cache is an offset. To find the final, please do some simple observations and math to find A, B and C.

A = Number of benches in the gazebo
B = Number of lattice panels in the gazebo
C= B ÷ A
Final coordinates are:
42° 05.C71
87° 54.5AC

The final is near Bryan S of Troop 401's 2001 Eagle project, which was clearing brush, especially invasive Buckthorn, just west of the paved walking path. He also planted 100' of Viburnum bushes as a natural barrier between the grassy area and the woodsy area.
The container is a small bison tube. Bring your own pen/pencil. The park it is in closes at sunset.
