This cache meets Sand Dunes State Forest guidelines.
My kids named this place "Cliff Hill" when they discovered it while exploring in the State Forest. The reason for the name will be obvious when you come here!
When you are here, take some time to listen to the wind in the pines, and enjoy the view!
There is a free small cone from Dairy Queen for FTF!
There is a trail into the State Forest (a logging road) located on 233rd Avenue, about 2 miles to the east of Co 15. You can park on the road and hike in. This way in is a long walk, but it avoids any need to bush-whack your way in.
I rated the terrain for this cache at 3 because of the long walk in from the road. But the effort is well worth it - and if you feel like climbing you will enjoy a great view from one of the tallest sand dunes in the State Forest!
