I thought it was about time to have a cache to bring people across to St Michael's Mount, the famous tidal island close to Marazion. It's accessible via the granite causeway for roughly two hours either side of the low tide and at other times a small boat ferry will get you back to Marazion.
Dogs: Please note that dogs are allowed on St Michael's Mount, on leads. Dogs are allowed on the beach to the east side of Marazion.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach stretching from the causeway westwards to Long Rock, from Easter through to 1st October.
There are two locations to be visited on the Mount to get some numbers which will solve the co-ordinates for the final cache location. A pasty will provide good caching fodder for this little excursion.
Suggested parking is the main Marazion carpark at
Q1: N50°07.111 W5°28.613
A = Number of children involved with the erection of this stone structure.
Q2: N50°07.173 W5°28.639
There are 5 numbers on the plaque. In sequence, left to right, they are BCDEF.
Final cache location is at
N50° 07. (F-E) (D+C) (D+C)
W5° 27. F (A-A) E
The container is a clip-lock box, 12x8x5cm. Happy hunting!
