Geocache Description:


This cache honors the achievements of a Penn State Blue Band tuba player who is a Super Cacher, Math Whiz, Eagle Scout and Master Musician, terms that fit him to a "T."

It is placed in the vicinity of the Penn State Blue Band Building with a view of Beaver Stadium and Mount Nittany. The morning we scoped out the cache hide, the band was practicing in the field across from the building.

The cache is a small micro with only a log. Tweezers may be needed to extract the log. Please bring your own pen.

You do not need to go onto any landscaped areas to find this cache. You can almost drive up to it, depending on the time of day. This may be a high muggle area at times. On Penn State home football days, the field across from the cache is filled with cars, RVs and tailgaters and the access road is restricted.

Please use extreme stealth in finding the cache and please return it to its hiding place exactly as you found it.

The sousaphone is a type of tuba that was developed in the 1890s at the request of John Philip Sousa who wanted a concert instrument that would be easy to hold and play while retaining a full, rich sound.
