Geocache Description:

This part of the Bayburn Trail, is the beginning of a 3-mile tree-lined ‘roadway’ that runs from Helen’s Bay (taking in the railway station) to the Clandeboye Estate and was constructed in the 1860’s by the First Marquess of Dufferin and Ava.

Bridge over the path at Helen's Bay Station

It is a very pleasant walk. On a wet day (in summer at least), the tree canopy offers great shelter!

The cache, which is 25m or more off the path, is a camouflaged, tab-lock container (approx. 3”x3”x2”), containing a log-roll. There's room for one or two geocoins, or a small TB. You will need to bring your own pen or pencil to ‘log’ your visit.

When replacing the cache, please take care to put it back EXACTLY where you found it, and make sure that it is well hidden. Thanks.

Enjoy!

Congratulations to kryten2x4p for being ‘First to Find’ this cache!
