Deu Zwischen Katakolo und Kalo Nero liegt mit fast 80km
Länge der wohl längste Sandstrand des Peloponnes.
Eng Between Katakalo and Kalo Nero you will find the
probably longest sandy beach on the Peloponnes, with a length of
roughly 80km.
Deu Gesäumt von Dünen und diversen Seen (siehe auch Lake Kaiafa) zieht sich der Strand
auf einer Länge von fast 80km an der Westküste des Peloponnes
entlang. Das Gebiet um den Cache ist touristisch noch nicht
wirklich erschlossen, nur ein paar vereinzelte Pensionen und
hauptsächlich von den Einheimischen besuchte Tavernas bieten sich
zum Besuch an. Wenn Ihr von Patras Eure Reise nach dem Süden
beginnt, bietet sich hier der erste Stop an. Am Strand kann man
ausgezeichnet entspannen, sogar eine Nacht direkt am Strand ist
möglich. Entlang der beiden Parkmöglichkeiten (siehe Wegpunkte)
kann auch mit einem Wohnmobil die eine oder andere Nacht verbracht
werden.
Auf dem Weg zum Cache solltet Ihr die Augen offen halten, denn zum
einen tummelt sich manche Schlange in den Dünen, andererseits kann
es durchaus sein, dass man die eine oder andere Schildkröte
unterwegs sieht.

Lake Kaiafa) this beach
reaches about 80km along the west coast of the peloponnes. The area
around the cache is not yet really developed for tourists, but
several small gueshouses and some Tavernas, frequented mostly by
the locals, envite you to a quick visit. If you are entering the
Peloponnes from Patras this place might be a good first stop, as
you can relax at the beach and even can stay a night directly at
the waterfront. At the parking places (see waypoints) you can even
stay a couple of night if you have a mobile home.
On your way to the cache you should look out, because there might
be some snakes trolling along the dunes, on the other hand, you
might even see some turtles that are living amongst the
bushes.
