This cache was placed with the permission and encouragement of
Erin, the garden's supervisor. He told me he enjoys helping
visitors find the other cache, a multi, GC117F5, which I adopted
several years ago from FlyingHI.
The garden is a 27 acre forested ravine on the 1,000 ft plateau
in Central O'ahu. Tropical flora requring a cooler climate thrive
in this rainforest setting. Special plant collections include
native Hawaiian plants, palms, aroids, heliconias, gingers, tree
ferns and epiphytes. I love the large ficus tree in the middle of
the park as well as the cinnamon trees.
Watch out for a few pokey plants as well as you travel towards
the cache!
If you find this plant, you are close!
There are ANTS everywhere in the garden, so expect them near and on
the cache as well!!! There is a unactivated geocoin for the FTF,
happy caching and enjoy the garden!! Congrats to GG and 808LB for
the FTF and thanks for the photo of the closings on furlough
fridays!
