A cryovial hang inside a fence post on a short chain.
Walk about 2.1 miles from the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center toward Cogswell Marsh. There are two gates that lead to other roads in the park. On the left side of the metal gate is a wire fence that starts at that gate. The vial hangs inside at the top of the first square fence post. On the other gate are signs that say "No Entry, Ordinance 38". You can reach the vial on the fence without entry.
