Pyramid of the
Sun.
Located in the heart
of the archaeological zone. This monument was built between the
years 1-150 AD over a natural cave. It is an imposing monument that
rises to 63 meters, with square base of 222 x 225 meters. The front
of the building faces the west and in it are the steps that lead to
the top. was built in the late Preclassic over a natural cave whose
changes indicate that even before the pyramid building site had
religious significance

de la zona arqueológica. Este monumento fue construido entre los
años 1-150 d.C. sobre una cueva natural. Es un imponente monumento
que se eleva a 63 metros; con base cuadrangular de 222 x 225
metros. El frente del edificio mira hacia el poniente y en él se
encuentran las escalinatas que llevan a la cúspide. fue construida
a fines del preclásico superior sobre una cueva natural cuyas
modificaciones indican, que aún antes de la edificación piramidal
el lugar tenía relevancia religiosa.
