Geocache Description:


Rosetown's First Regular Cache. After all the Micro's hidden around town Benny wanted to get a Regular out here with some tradeable items in it. This is the first.
This cache is a bit of a Trip down memory lane for R. R used to go to High School in the building just to the South of where you are standing. There used to be a football field and Track for running on between where you are standing and the Old School building. R spent 5 years running on the "Track". R loved Middle Distance running back then and literaly put on hundreds and hundreds of miles on the track and roads to the East/West and North of this exact spot.We used to run in practices out to the Creek to the North and back again--(This road used to be the Hiway to Big Z).After Track practice R used to Hitch Hike back to Big Z. We used to run to the West on this road out to where the Rosetown Golf Course in now located and back, and we used to Run to the East all the way to where the Hiway now intersects with this road and beyond past where the Cargill Elevator now stands.
R used to hold the School,Unit and District Records for the 1/2 Mile,1 Mile and 2 Mile Events. R used to participate in the Provincial Track Meets and the Yearly Cross Country Events around the Province and at one time went to Western Canada and the Canadian Cross Country Championships.
Those were the "Good Old Days" some 45 years ago-- Now R would be challenged as he was back then to run 100Metres.
