Geocache Description:

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES. You must solve the below puzzle to get the proper coordinates.

After finding the PRIME cache, MustangJoni and I decided that we would place a high terrain cache in the general area.

We shove our canoe off from PRIME at 09:47am and start looking for a good location. After paddling around for 22 minutes we land our canoe on shore…well, close to shore, it was very muddy and we had to walk thru muck for 13 feet just to get to dry land. We decide to make this location our BASE from which to try to locate a suitable location for the cache.

We head off and arrive at what looked like a good location at 10:36am. No, this location won’t work. Hey, but that big tree over there looks promising. Even though the tree was very close, it still took us 7 minutes to make it over to it. MJ noticed bees swarming around the tree and we found a bee hive in a hollow….well, shucks, this location won’t work, although it would be a sin not to put a cache in such a good location. Back to BASE we go to rehydrate and eat a quick snack.

After a quick meal and Gatorade. I glance at my watch and notice that it is 11:26am. We had better get going. The direction we chose was even more muddy and thick with undergrowth than the previous way we went. We find what looks like another decent location at 12:12pm, but we just can’t make it work with the containers we brought along, so we take off once more. After and hour and two minutes we find a great location. I quickly nixed it as I noticed a den of water moccasins and grabbed MJ’s arm and slowly backed out. Too bad, as again it would be a sin not to place a cache in such a unique location. By this time I was tuckered out and decided to call it a day. We can always come back and search some more. We get back to BASE and canoe back to the boat ramp and arrive at 02:57pm.

MJ and I were covered with mud mixed with red streaks from the geostripes we received bushwhacking. If someone had taken a pic of us, I wonder what the hype would be if someone posted it to facebook! Too bad we did not get to hide a cache as I wanted to dip my new HHV2 coin into it to get some mileage.
