I 1762 ble det bygd en kirke av tømmer ved Gäutajaures strand. Den ble senere gjenoppbygd på Gamla Kyrknäset, 5 km øst for den nåværende kirken i Tärnaby, og innviet på nytt i 1971. Natt til den 1. oktober 1986 brant denne kirken ned, ble gjenoppbygd og innviet på nytt den 8. juli 1991.
Cachen finnes i skogen nedenfor kirken, noen meter fra vannet. Kirken er et vakkert og enkelt byggverk, verd å stoppe og se på!
In 1762 a church of timber was build at Gäutajaurens beach. It was later moved, and rebuild on Gamla Kyrknäset, 5 km East of the church that is currantly in use in Tärnaby, the moved church got a new blessing in 1971. The night of October 1st. of 1986 this old church burned down to the ground, but got rebuild again, and got it's blessing on July 8th og 1991.
The cache you will find in the forest below the church, a few meters form the wather. The church is a beautiful but simple building, wourth a stop to look at!
