Geocache Description:

A wonderful trail network in a wonderful forest. The trail does have its steep spots but is generally easy. Hidden Grove is adjacent to the Sechelt Heritage Forest trail system. There are other geocaches nearby, and not so nearby. Take the whole family and enjoy the peace and quiet. Please visit the Sechelt Groves Society website, where you’ll find a visitors’ guide and maps .

Hidden Grove is one of the Sunshine Coast's true treasures. The trail system is extremely well kept by a group of dedicated volunteers, and they keep a very sharp eye on it. You can learn more about the Grove and her keepers at their website. The site has an excellent printable trail map, and the maps are posted at most of the junctions on the trail.

Find the Grove by driving north on Sechelt Inlet Rd. The trailhead is well marked just south of Sandy Hook Rd. Park here, or you may drive in at the Hidden Grove sign and park if there is room.

After the demise of the cache and the tree that it was in, the cache has been replaced, relocated, and upgraded from small to regular. Look for a camo'd lock n lock well hidden at a spot known as Pine Bluff. The point of this cache is to bring you to a place of absolute peace, so just standing and looking should show you the likely hiding spot. It's within 20 feet of the summit. Look for a hollow topped stump.

If you fail to spot the cache there is another way to log your find. You may email me any or all of the inscription on the bench just to the southwest of the summit.

As I said, the point is that you got there.

Cache contains a log book, pencil, sharpener, swag, and desiccant silica gel, which should be left to help keep the cache dry.

May 12, 2012 was the Grand Opening of a new 480 m. Accessibility Trail Phase One that is entirely wheelchair friendly and, as luck would have it, there's a sneaky little cache there. And upon taking on a more vigorous hike, you'll find our special friend, Twister!
