Geocache Description:

O cachê encontra-se escondido entre pedras e na região da elevação que está à direita do conjunto que forma a parte principal da Pedra Grande (SP) no município de Atibaia (SP) a uma altitude de 1307 m.

The cache is hidden between stones in the mountain located in the right side of the main set (main platform) of the Pedra Grande (Big Rock) Mountain in the city of Atibaia (SP) at 1307 m height.

Localizada no município de Atibaia (SP), na serra de Itapetinga, em uma área de preservação ambiental, a Pedra Grande é uma formação rochosa que se eleva a 1340m acima do nível do mar e de onde se pode avistar, em dias com boa visibilidade, até sete cidades vizinhas entre elas Bragança Paulista, Piracaia, Jundiaí, Bom Jesus dos Perdões e Nazaré.

Sua dimensão e formação geológica são responsáveis por um nível de energia cuja influência positiva se faz sentir intensamente até a um raio de 2.500 metros a partir do seu centro, sendo que esse enorme monólito proporciona um excelente local para a prática de rappel, escalada, asa delta e para-glider, tendo sido palco de vários campeonatos, tornou-se ponto de encontro de vários praticantes do vôo livre.

Trata-se de um local único não apenas por ser um espetacular mirante, mas também pelas diversas e curiosas formações rochosas ao redor.

Além de um cache tradicional esse é também um cache temático e que tem nas lembranças de viagens (SOUVENIR) o seu tema e em seu interior encontra-se um chaveiro e uma bandana com motivos brasileiros.

Located in the Atibaia city (SP), in the Itapetinga mountain, in a enviromental protected area, Pedra Grande (Big Rock) is a dizzying and unique rocky formation with 1340 m height and from its peak it is possible in a cloudiness day to have an eyesight of seven neighbor cities among them elas Bragança Paulista, Piracaia, Jundiaí, Bom Jesus dos Perdões e Nazaré.

It is said that due its size and geologic formation Pedra Grande has a quite positive influence on the physical and emotion health of the people in a range of 2.5 km from its center.

Pedra Grande is regional well known place to practice rappel, climbing, paragliding and others competitive flying sports, have been choose as the place for various championship and it has become a meet point for practitioner of these sports.

It is for sure a unique place, one of its kind, not only because the wonderful sights from its peak but also because it’s marvelous and curious rocky formation.
