Non-Operational Caches Retrieval And Placement

There used to be two series of caches along this bike trail, from Enos Lane all the way to Lake Ming.  The first was called the BBB&BH series by Hedge.  It lasted a few years, but over time some of the caches went missing and the series was eventually archived to make room for the next series.

The other was called the USMC Medal of Honor series by dirtdiver03&kittenpawz. It only lasted a few months as the CO had to suddenly move out of state.  This series was also archived.

The caches themselves, however, were left out there.

Having already found most of these myself, I decided to go on a personal, two-part quest. First, retrieve as many of these ‘left behinds’ as possible.  Over the course of several weeks I acquired all I could find: about twenty of them.  Most were in good shape; some needed a little TLC.  Each had its logbook, swag, even long lost Travel Bugs and Geocoins.  Second, restore, replace, and reactivate these caches back along the bike path.

Most of the cache containers are the same.  New logs.  New locations.  None should be too difficult.

So get on your walking shoes or grab your bike, bring the kids, find these recovered caches, and collect your smileys.

Happy Caching!
